Especially the belly scales are carved naturalistically in neatly arranged overlapping rows. The eyes are inlaid in dark horn. The underside with the signature TADATOMO in a rectangular reserve; natural himotoshi through several openings of the coiled, serpentine body of the snake.HEIGHT 2.8 CMCondition: Excellent conditionProvenance: British collection
